Asaduddin Owaisi’s Official Delhi Residence Vandalised, Hyderabad MP Shares Video Post

New Delhi: The official residence of AIMIM MP from Hyderabad Asaduddin Owaisi in Delhi’s high-security Ashoka Road was allegedly vandalised on Thursday night with black ink besides pasting posters demanding cancellation of his Lok Sabha membership.

The miscreants behind the act, who are yet to be identified, also posted posters reading Bharat Mata Ki Jai with the demand that Owaisi’s Lok Sabha membership be cancelled.

The AIMIM chief reported on X that his house was defaced with black ink by some unidentified vandals, noting that he has lost track of how many times his Delhi residence has been attacked.

Owaisi questioned Delhi Police officials about the recurring incidents occurring blatantly, to which they admitted their inability to prevent them. He also addressed Union Home Minister Amit Shah in his remarks, highlighting that these events were unfolding under his supervision, and sought assurance from Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla regarding the safety of Members of Parliament.

“To the two-bit goons who keep targeting my house: This does not scare me. Stop this Savarkar-type cowardly behaviour and be men enough to face me. Do not scurry away after throwing some ink or pelting a few stones,” Owaisi wrote in the post.

Following the incident, Delhi Police have increased security at Owaisi’s residence. A group of police officers was observed outside his home, with some removing posters that had been affixed to the nameplate and main gate.

The incident seems to be connected to Owaisi chanting ‘Jai Palestine’ after being sworn in as an MP on Tuesday. The BJP has taken serious exception to the AIMIM leader’s gesture, with some leaders calling for Owaisi’s disqualification as an MP.
