We all know Ratan Tata, Tata Sons Emeritus Chairman, is a successful businessman and he is revered world over in the business and other fraternities. But a few people know this fact that he had to make his Curriculum-vitae for a job in Tata Group to which he led for several years and turned it into a trillion dollar company.
Ratan Tata had shared an anecdote during an interview that he got a job with IBM but his mentor JRD Tata was not happy with his decision. He asked him to share his Biodata and work for Tata Group. Ratan Tata did not have a biodata.
Ratan Tata further added that he made his resume on an electronic typewriter in the IBM office. He shared that resume with JRD Tata. Ratan Tata got his first job in 1962. He took over the reins of Tata Group in 1991 after death of JRD Tata.
Ratan Tata was admitted to Breach Candy hospital after his health conditions reportedly deteriorated. He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. He passed away on October 9, 2024.
