Rafale fighter jet to conduct exercise to drop nuclear bombs, fourth exercise in one year by…, who is on target?

Paris: The French Air Force has announced that it will conduct its fourth nuclear fighter-bomber exercise of the year. The statement comes at a time when the entire world is facing the threat of World War 3. Reports suggest that the French Air Force is set to carry out this nuclear strike exercise tonight. Named “Poker 2024,” the exercise will simulate a high-intensity war scenario during the night, involving Rafale fighter jets armed with ASMPAR supersonic missiles.

According to the reports, the exercise will include tanker aircraft and AWACS planes alongside the nuclear-capable Rafale jets. During this mission, the aim will be to ensure that the ASMPAR missile, equipped with a dummy nuclear bomb, can fly at low altitudes and accurately reach its target far away in the Red Sea.

The Blue Team, during the exercise, will attempt a nuclear strike, while the Red Team will try to prevent this nuclear attack amidst a fierce war-like scenario. The Red Team will be equipped with long-range air defense systems, tankers, and a significant number of soldiers.

Analysts suggest that the aim of this exercise is to train French Air Force personnel in both ground and aerial operations. They also noted that another major objective is to send a message to the nuclear-armed nations of the world.

How Many Nuclear Bombs Does France Have?

Through this nuclear exercise, France is trying to show that regardless of the geopolitical situation in the world, the country’s strategic forces are vigilant. The observation is made by the French defense expert Étienne Marquez. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the French military conducted a similar nuclear exercise to showcase its strength. France possesses approximately 290 nuclear bombs. All of these nuclear weapons are either deployed or can be deployed within a very short time. After the United States, France is considered the most transparent country when it comes to nuclear weapons.
