The actor, best known for his versatile roles in our film industry, took a bold step into the world of alcohol manufacturing, founding his first brewery, Yuksom Brewery, in 1987. Located in the picturesque state of Sikkim, Yuksom Brewery began by producing a variety of alcoholic beverages. The company produces 11 distinct beer brands, catering to a wide range of tastes. These include Dansberg Diet Denzong 9000, Jhoom, Himalayan Blue, India Special, Dansberg 16000, He-Man 9000, Yeti, Dansberg Red, Hit and India Special Beer. Yuksom Breweries offers its beers at competitive prices, making them accessible to a broad audience.

However, the actor’s entrepreneurial journey didn’t stop there. In 2005, he expanded his business by setting up another brewery, Denzong Brewery. By 2009, his company took another major leap when he acquired Assam’s Rhino Agencies for Rs 40 crore. The management and operations of the companies are overseen by the actor and his family, ensuring its steady growth.

The actor’s three breweries collectively churn out around 6.8 million hectoliters of alcohol annually, making his company the third-largest beer producer in the country. His business not only plays a pivotal role in the alcoholic beverage market but also contributes around Rs 100 crore to the northeastern economy every year.

About The Actor

Danny Denzongpa made his debut in the film Zaroorat in 1972. Over the years, he carved a niche for himself in the cinema with his unique style and characters. He became a household name for his roles in several iconic films, such as Dhund, 36 Ghante, Bandish, Jeeo Aur Jeene Do, Pyar Jhukta Nahin, Aandhi-Toofan, Agneepath, Hum, Krantiveer, Indian and Enthiran. Interestingly, he is also a brilliant singer and has sung with Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Mohammed Rafi and Asha Bhosle. He has also featured in international films, including Seven Years In Tibet, alongside Brad Pitt.
