Bad news for India’s friend as Pakistan and Azerbaijan to jointly build a lethal weapon named…, get permission from…

JF-17 fighter aircraft: Pakistan and Azerbaijan have decided to jointly build JF-17 fighter aircraft. According to the latest report, after getting China’s permission, the two countries have agreed to build fighter jets keeping in mind similar security concerns. In Islamabad, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have agreed on joint production.

Under this deal, the two countries will work together to increase their strategic capabilities. Geo TV has said in its report that Azerbaijan wants to export weapons and its goal is to take advantage of Pakistan’s strong defense industry.

After meeting with the President of Azerbaijan, Shahbaz Sharif confirmed Pakistan’s commitment to joint production. Under this agreement, Azerbaijan will purchase JF-17 Block III fighter jets from Pakistan. This deal is worth approximately 1.6 billion dollars. Both countries have termed this partnership a milestone for their defense industry. According to reports, Pakistan has finalized this defense deal after receiving permission from China.

Azerbaijan has decided to include the JF-17 Block III fighter jet in its fleet amid the conflict with Armenia, demonstrating the strengthening of military ties between the two countries. A report by Eurasian Times stated that this aircraft is equipped with a Russian engine, a Chinese airframe, and avionics purchased from Western countries. However, more than 70 percent of the components of this fighter jet have been sourced from China. Therefore, the capabilities of the fighter jet have always been under scrutiny. Myanmar also purchased it, but after assessing its capabilities, they were left in despair. Pakistan is also unable to provide its components to Myanmar.

Let us tell you that there was an agreement between Pakistan and China in 1999 to build JF-17 fighter aircraft. Pakistan had planned to build the JF-17 with China as a low-cost, lightweight, all-weather multi-role fighter jet. The fighter jet was fitted with China’s airframe, Western avionics and the Russian Klimov RD 93 aero-engine.

Pakistan claims that these fighter jets have the ability to carry out both missions to carry out ground attacks and to create a deterrence in the air. Experts believe that Azerbaijan’s inclusion of JF-17 Block III fighter jets in its air defense is a strategic move, especially given the regional tensions. Azerbaijan has been in constant conflict with Armenia over Nagorno-Karabakh. In this fight, countries like Pakistan and Turkey have always helped Azerbaijan.
