Operation Sindoor: In a significant development impacting the global geopolitics, India attacked various terror camps in Pakistan and killed more than hundred terrorists in its operation named ‘Operation Sindoor’. Through its operation Sindoor, India destroyed nine terror camps in Pakistan with its missile capabilities along with attacking multiple airbases of Pakistan. After Pakistan sponsored terrorist attacked India in Pehalgam and India retaliated, various countries like China and Turkey expressed their support for Pakistan. Instead of supporting India in its anti-terror operations, Turkey had reportedly sent a large consignment of weapons to Pakistan by cargo plane on an immediate basis.

India’s actions against Turkey

In response to the role of Turkey in helping Pakistan attack India, the ground handling operations of Turkish company Celebi Aviation were suspended at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru. The action has been taken as per the directive of the Central government, the official statement by the Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL) stated as per a report by news agency IANS.

“In compliance with a directive from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), government of India, Bangalore International Airport (BIAL) has transitioned its ground handling operations from Celebi Airport Services India Pvt Ltd, to other existing service providers to ensure continuity and operational stability,” the statement said.

“We are coordinating the transition in collaboration with all existing aviation stakeholders and government authorities. We remain committed to maintaining seamless operations throughout this period of transition,” the BIAL stated.
